Naturandes - Peruvian Lemon Verbena Herbs Tea Leaves Infusions , Bag x 50 gr : It is a plant native to Chile and Argentina, although it is currently cultivated throughout the world. It is highly valued both for its multiple medicinal properties and for its ornamental use and the characteristic lemon aroma of its leaves.

Properties:

    • Antioxidant: lemon verbena helps combat oxidative stress and helps prevent aging and some diseases. Most of the organic compounds it contains are antioxidants, but camphene is especially important.
    • Digestive and carminative: components of lemon verbena such as limonene and caryophyllene help reduce flatulence.
    • Antibacterial: citral, another of its components, improves the response of the immune system by increasing the production of white blood cells.
    • Anti-inflammatory: most of the organic compounds of lemon verbena have anti-inflammatory power, which makes it a natural pain reliever to relieve minor pain.
    • Insomnia: thanks to its melatonin content, lemon verbena helps fight insomnia and control nerves.
    • Expectorant: the camphene and terpene present in lemon verbena facilitate the elimination of mucus from the respiratory system in mild cases of bronchitis and colds.
